This 6-Day Bwindi Gorillas & Serengeti Safari combines two great wildlife experiences. You will get close to the endangered Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and witness the annual Great Wildebeest Migration in Serengeti National Park.

Detailed 6-Day Bwindi Gorillas & Serengeti Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Kampala

After arriving at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by our driver-guide who will drive you to Kampala. On the way, you will get a briefing about the safari.

Check in at your hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After early breakfast and check-out, your driver will take you to southwestern Uganda. First, stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for photos and a short educational visit. Continue to Mbarara town for lunch.

After lunch, enjoy the views of hills and lakes as you travel to Bwindi. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, check in, have dinner, and rest for the night.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi

After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for registration and briefing about the gorilla trek. Your ranger guide will lead you through the dense forest.

The time for trekking depends on the gorillas’ location and the path.

When you find the gorillas, you will spend one hour with them. Watch their behavior, take photos, and ask the guides questions. Remember no flash photography.

After the trek, return to the park offices for your certificate, then drive back to your lodge for lunch and rest.

In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community to learn about their culture. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Kisoro Airstrip – Fly Entebbe to Arusha

After breakfast, check out and drive to Kisoro Airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport. From Entebbe, fly to Arusha International Airport in Tanzania.

Upon arrival, our representative will pick you up and take you to your camp or lodge near Arusha.

Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, your driver will take you to Serengeti National Park. The drive passes near Ngorongoro Crater, offering chances to see wildlife along the way. Lunch will be served en route.

Arrive in Serengeti in the afternoon and go on a game drive to explore the wide plains. Look for lions, elephants, wildebeests, leopards, zebras, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, and many bird species. Return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Scheduled flight back to Arusha

Wake up early for a pre-sunrise game drive. This is a good time to see nocturnal animals and predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and jackals hunting or feeding. Watch the park wake up with the sunrise.

Return to camp for breakfast. You can also choose to go on a hot air balloon ride early in the morning at an extra cost. After breakfast, check out and drive to Arusha Airport for your flight home.
