Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Your Gorilla Hurly Burly representative meets you at the airport and drives you to your hotel in Kigali. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, you take a half-day city tour of Kigali. After lunch, you drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to endangered mountain gorillas. You can relax at your lodge or visit the twin lakes or a cultural village. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Flight to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, you drive to park headquarters for a briefing and gorilla family assignment. Ranger guides lead you into the forest, where you spend one hour observing the gorillas at a safe distance. After collecting your trekking certificate, you have lunch, then transfer to Kigali airport for your flight to Nairobi. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, stopping at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint on the way. You arrive in the afternoon, check in, have lunch, and go on an introductory game drive. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Game Drives in Masai Mara National Reserve

You start with a pre-sunrise game drive to spot predators hunting.
