Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Flight to Nairobi

Today is a once-in-a-lifetime experience: gorilla trekking. After early breakfast, with packed lunch, drive to the park offices for registration, briefing, and gorilla family allocation.

Start your trek with ranger guides and trackers. Once you see the gorillas, keep the recommended distance and enjoy one full hour with them. Take photos as you watch the gorillas feed, play, and rest.

Return to the park offices for your trekking certificates. Your driver will take you to the nearest airstrip for a flight to Entebbe, where you will catch a flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, our company representative will meet you and drive you to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve.

Stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint and enjoy the view of the Great East African Rift Valley.

Arrive at the Mara in the afternoon, check in at your lodge or camp, have lunch, then go for a late afternoon game drive to start your wildlife viewing. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Game drives in Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, go for a full day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. With packed lunch, explore different parts of the park toward the Mara River to try and see the wildebeest migration if your visit is at the right time of year.

Watch for elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos (rare), buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, warthogs, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, and more.

Lunch will be at a picnic spot near the Mara River. In the afternoon, continue exploring the Mara plains. Return to your lodge or camp to relax, or visit a Masai village. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park

Start early with a pre-sunrise game drive to spot predators such as jackals, hyenas, lions, cheetahs, and leopards hunting or feeding. Return to your lodge for breakfast and check out.

Drive to the Isebania border for immigration formalities and an early picnic lunch. Then continue to Serengeti National Park for a welcome game drive on the way to your camp or lodge.

Serengeti is home to large populations of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, hippos, and giraffes. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Game drives in the Serengeti plains

Start the day with a sunrise game drive in Serengeti National Park. Watch the big cats; lions, cheetahs, and leopards, hunting or feeding. Return to the lodge for breakfast.

Spend the rest of the day exploring the endless plains, searching for the Big Five animals (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos, though rhinos are rare). If lucky, see the wildebeest migration in action.

Take a picnic lunch break, then continue game viewing. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Have one last game drive as you leave Serengeti and enter Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Drive through Seronera River Valley, known for many predators and prey.

Drive to the crater rim for a game drive. Expect to see giraffes around the rim and many other animals in the crater floor. Check in at your accommodation, have a late lunch, and relax for the rest of the day. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Explore the floor of Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, spend a full day exploring Ngorongoro Crater. Look for big cats, lions, cheetahs, and sometimes leopards, as well as elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, hippos, elands, wildebeests, zebras, oribis, waterbucks, Thomson’s gazelles, and many birds.

Descend 600 meters into the crater, home to over 25,000 animals and more than 450 bird species. Have a picnic lunch at the crater rim, then return to your camp or lodge to relax. Dinner and overnight stay.
