Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, your Gorilla Hurly Burly driver picks you up from the airport or your hotel in Arusha and drives you to Serengeti National Park, known for the annual wildebeest migration. You arrive in the afternoon, have lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp or lodge.
Day 2: Game Drives in Serengeti
After breakfast, you take a morning game drive to spot lions, leopards, and cheetahs during their most active hours. After lunch and rest, you head out again for more wildlife viewing, looking for elephants, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes, along with many bird species. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater and Transfer to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you check out and drive to Ngorongoro Crater with a packed lunch for a game drive across the crater floor, home to almost 30,000 animals. You then drive to the crater rim for a picnic lunch with wide views before transferring to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Fly to Kigali, Drive to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you transfer to the airport for your flight to Kigali, Rwanda. On arrival, your driver takes you through Rwanda’s hills to your hotel or lodge near Volcanoes National Park, arriving in the evening for dinner and rest.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, you drive to park headquarters for a briefing and gorilla family assignment. You enter the rainforest to search for the gorillas, spending time taking photos and asking your ranger guide questions once you find them.
After the trek, you collect your gorilla trekking certificate, then return to the lodge for lunch and rest. In the evening, you visit Rwanda’s scenic twin lakes, Lake Bulera and Lake Ruhondo. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Kigali and Departure
After breakfast, you enjoy a short city tour of Kigali before your driver takes you to the airport for your flight home.
