Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Your Gorilla Hurly Burly driver-guide briefs you on the 3-day tour before driving you to Volcanoes National Park in northwestern Rwanda. You check in at your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Relaxation
After breakfast, your driver-guide takes you to park headquarters for a briefing and permit check, then to the trailhead to meet your ranger guide. Gorilla trekking can take 1 to 7 hours, since the gorillas move as they search for food and safety.
Once you find them, you spend one hour watching them play, breastfeed their young, and sometimes mate, with plenty of time for photos. Children under 15 are not permitted on this trek. Afterward, you receive a certificate of participation before heading back to the lodge for lunch and rest.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Departure
After breakfast, you return to park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest with a ranger guide to find the golden monkeys. You spend one hour watching them jump between trees and play, with time to take photos throughout.
After the trek, you return to the lodge for lunch, then check out and drive back to Kigali International Airport for your flight home.
