Your Gorilla Hurly Burly driver picks you up from your hotel for up to two hours exploring Kigali, including the Kigali Memorial Centre and Kimironko Market. You then begin the 4 to 5-hour drive to Bwindi National Park, crossing the Katuna or Cyanika border into southwestern Uganda with scenic views along the way.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

After breakfast, you drive to park offices for briefing and registration, then trek through the forest to find your assigned gorilla group. The trek takes 2 to 6 hours depending on your pace and the gorillas’ location.

You spend one hour observing the gorillas, watching babies play and adults groom each other. After the trek, you return to the lodge for refreshments, then visit the Batwa community in the afternoon for traditional dances, storytelling, and insight into their forest life.

Day 3: Bwindi to Kigali and Fly to Nairobi

After breakfast, you check out and can add a canoe or boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi before traveling to Kigali for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival, a Kenyan driver meets you and transfers you to your hotel for the night.

Day 4: Nairobi to Masai Mara

You arrive early at Masai Mara Reserve, known for its vast savanna and large animal populations, including the wildebeest migration. After settling in and having lunch, you head out for an afternoon game drive.

Day 5: Full Day Game Drive, Wildebeest Migration and Big Cats

You start early after breakfast for a full day of wildlife viewing, focusing on the wildebeest migration alongside sightings of lions, cheetahs, and other big cats active in the cooler morning hours.

Day 6: Depart Masai Mara for Nairobi

After breakfast, you pack up and begin the drive back to Nairobi, with a morning game drive as you leave the reserve. Gorilla Hurly Burly drops you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight or at a Nairobi hotel.
