Day 1: Pickup, Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

Your 14-day unforgettable safari begins early when you land at Kigali International Airport. You will be warmly welcomed by the beautiful smiles and rolling hills of East Africa. Our driver-guide will meet you and explain the activities planned for this trip.

You will take a 1 to 2-hour tour around Kigali, one of the cleanest and most beautiful cities in East Africa, visiting local markets and the Genocide Memorial site.

After lunch in the city, you will drive 4 to 5 hours to Nyungwe National Park, a home for many primates, passing hills, plantations, and villages. End your day with dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking & Forest Canopy Walk

At daybreak, enjoy a strong cup of coffee before heading to the park headquarters with a packed lunch and your hiking gear. Rangers will explain the special traits of chimpanzees, our close cousins with over 98% shared DNA, and give instructions for tracking.

The chimpanzee trek lasts 1 to 5 hours, depending on your fitness and the chimpanzees’ location. After the trek, spend one hour watching the chimpanzees play, feed, or rest. Take photos and ask questions.

After lunch, enjoy a 2 to 3-hour canopy walk on suspended ropes about 7 meters above the ground. This walk offers views of the forest and primates playing in the trees. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Early morning, take a guided nature walk for about one hour, then have breakfast. You will drive 4 to 6 hours to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda’s top safari destination and home to endangered mountain gorillas and rare golden monkeys.

Along the way, enjoy views of plantations and water bodies, stopping for lunch. Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking & Optional Twin Lakes Tour

After breakfast, your driver-guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing at 8:00 AM. The trek can last 1 to 6 hours, depending on your pace and where the monkeys are.

Golden monkeys are rare, playful, and fast, with shiny fur. Rangers will help you find them and give you one hour to take photos and learn about them.

After trekking, return to the lodge for lunch, then enjoy an evening tour of the twin lakes. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start your day with coffee, then drive from Volcanoes National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Katuna border and Buhoma sector. You will pass plantations and hills.

Lunch will be at Lake Bunyonyi before continuing to the park headquarters. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Pygmies Visit

At sunrise, have a quick refreshment and breakfast, then drive to Buhoma sector headquarters for a briefing. Rangers will check your documents, explain the rules, and assign groups to gorilla families.

The trek lasts 1 to 6 hours, walking through valleys, hills, bushes, and forest while seeing other animals and birds. You will spend one hour watching the gorillas closely, taking photos, and asking questions.

Return to the lodge for lunch, then visit the Batwa pygmies, one of the shortest peoples in the world. Enjoy their cultural dances, stories, and village walk. End the day with dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha Sector

After breakfast, drive 4 to 5 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha sector, known for tree-climbing lions. On a good day, you may see lions resting on tree branches.

After a 2 to 3-hour game drive, have lunch and then drive to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 8: Game Drive & Boat Cruise

After breakfast, enjoy a 3 to 4-hour morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park has hills, savanna, and rare trees.

Animals here include lions, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and warthogs. Birds include crested cranes, Rwenzori turacos, egrets, and guinea fowls.

After lunch, take an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, kingfishers, and more for 3 to 4 hours. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Arusha via Entebbe Airport; Evening City Tour in Arusha

Leave Queen Elizabeth National Park early for a 5 to 6-hour drive to Entebbe International Airport. Stop at the equator for photos and a lunch break.

Fly to Arusha, Tanzania, where you will meet our representative. After a briefing, transfer to your hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 10: Drive to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a tour of Arusha city, including markets and museums. Then drive 4 to 5 hours to Tarangire National Park, home to many elephants and other animals.

You may have an optional evening game drive before checking into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Start early with breakfast, then enjoy a 3 to 4-hour morning game drive in Tarangire to see elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes, lions, hyenas, leopards, and vultures.

Return for lunch, then drive 5 to 6 hours to Serengeti National Park through plantations and beautiful landscapes. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 12: Morning Game Drive & Maasai Cultural Encounter

At sunrise, drive to Seronera area for a game drive. See the African Big Five: lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and rhinos, plus wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, cheetahs, and birds like kori bustards and flamingoes.

Return for lunch, then visit the Maasai people. Enjoy their dances, stories, songs, and a village walk. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 13: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater – Relaxation

After breakfast, check out and drive to Ngorongoro Crater, the largest caldera in the world and home to many animals. Stop at Olduvai Gorge if you like.

Arrive at the lodge for lunch and a relaxed afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 14: Top of the Crater Rim Hike & Departure

After breakfast, take a guided hike along the crater rim. Enjoy views, take photos, and see where animals like lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos live.

After the hike, return to the lodge for lunch. Then drive to the airport for your flight.
