Detailed 3-Day Luxury Gorilla Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The trip takes 2 hours by flight or 8 hours by road.

If you choose to travel by road, you will stop at the equator – the line that divides the northern and southern halves of the earth.

You will learn about life near the equator and enjoy some coffee.

Then you will continue to Mbarara for lunch before going on to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

Wake up early, have breakfast, and go to the park headquarters for a briefing. The meeting starts at 7:30 AM and lasts about 30 minutes.

During the meeting, you will learn the rules for gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will go into the forest to track mountain gorillas. This can take between 2 and 8 hours.

After trekking, you will return to your lodge to rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala

On the last day, you will travel back to Kampala to catch your flight. The trip is the same as on Day 1 – 2 hours by flight or 8 hours by road.

When you arrive in Kampala, you will be taken to Entebbe International Airport for your flight or to any hotel if you need to stay overnight.
