Detailed 18-Day East Africa Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

Your Gorilla Hurly Burly driver and guide meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in Kampala. Dinner and overnight stay in Kampala.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After an early pickup, you head to Uganda’s largest game park. On the way, you stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda to track rhinos. You continue through Masindi district for lunch, then arrive at Murchison Falls National Park for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise to the Base of Murchison Falls

After breakfast, you take a game drive in the northern part of the park, looking for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kobs, and lions. After lunch, you take a boat cruise to the base of the falls for close wildlife views. Guests who want more can hike to the top of the falls. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you drive to Kibale National Park, home to hundreds of chimpanzees and over 1,000 primates. You stop for lunch in Hoima and pass through Fort Portal before arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.
