From the top of Mount Bisoke, you will enjoy views of the Crater Lake, the Rwenzori Mountains, and Mgahinga National Park.
After the hike, you will go gorilla trekking and spend one hour with these gentle animals.

Detailed 3-Day Rwanda Adventure Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park & Visit Gorilla Guardians Village
Travel to Volcanoes National Park while enjoying views of hills, farms, gardens, and forests through the vehicle window. The drive takes about 3 to 4 hours.
When you arrive, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, also called the Gorilla Guardians Village. Here, you will enjoy traditional music and dances, taste local food, meet traditional healers, and learn more about Rwandan customs. After the visit, go to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Hike Mount Bisoke
After breakfast, go to the park office for a short briefing. The hike starts at 8:00 am and takes about 5 to 6 hours. It is a good idea to hire a porter to help carry your backpack.
At the top of the mountain, you will see the Crater Lake, nearby Virunga peaks, and views of the Rwenzori and Mgahinga National Parks.
Learn about the history and formation of the mountain during the trek. After the hike, return to your lodge for rest.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Kigali
Start the day with breakfast, then go to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. You will be given instructions on what to do during the trek.
Make sure to wear good hiking clothes, bring a camera, binoculars, water, and some snacks.
A park guide will lead you into the forest to look for a gorilla group. Along the way, you might see other animals like monkeys and birds.
Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one hour watching them.
After the trek, return to your lodge to check out, then drive to Kigali International Airport for your flight.
