After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a short briefing about gorilla trekking. The trek usually takes you to the lower slopes of Mount Huye, Bisoke, or Karisimbi, depending on the location of the gorilla group you are visiting.

Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one hour watching them as they go about their daily life. On a lucky day, you might also see forest elephants, buffaloes, or other primates.

After the trek, return to the park headquarters, then go back to the lodge for lunch and rest.

In the afternoon, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village. This is a place where you can learn about the three main ethnic groups in Rwanda, the Twa, Hutu, and Tutsi.

Enjoy traditional music and dance, try local food, and talk to local people to learn more about their way of life.
