Detailed Affordable 3-Day Uganda Gorilla Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start early in the morning and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The journey takes about 8 hours by road and includes stops at the equator and for lunch.
When you arrive in Bwindi, check in to your lodge, have dinner, and rest.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Wake up early for breakfast and go to the park headquarters for a pre-briefing that lasts about 30 minutes.
You will be assigned to gorilla families to track and divided into groups of 8 people. Then you will enter the forest to search for gorillas.
The trek can take up to eight hours depending on how easy it is to find the gorillas.
You will spend one full hour with the gorillas before returning to the starting point.
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala & Departure
On the last day, you will drive back to Kampala to catch your departure flight. The journey also takes about 8 hours by road.
You will stop for lunch in Mbarara, enjoy coffee at the equator, and continue to Kampala, arriving late in the evening.
You will be taken to the airport to catch your flight home or dropped off at any hotel in Kampala.
