Day 1: Arrival and Hotel Transfer

You arrive at Entebbe Airport, where your Gorilla Hurly Burly driver-guide briefs you on the 9-day safari before transferring you to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park and Evening Bigodi Nature Walk

After breakfast, you begin a 5 to 6-hour drive to Kibale Forest National Park, passing through Mityana, Mubende, and Fort Portal, with a lunch stop and crater lake views along the way. After checking in at your lodge, you take a guided walk at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, spotting red-tailed monkeys, colobus monkeys, and wetland birds.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a big breakfast, you attend a briefing before starting the chimpanzee trek at 8:00 AM, a hike taking 2 to 4 hours. Once you find the chimpanzees, you spend about an hour watching them from 8 to 10 meters away. After lunch, you drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 4: Game Drive in Kasenyi Plains and Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

After coffee, you take a 2 to 3-hour morning game drive through Kasenyi Plains, spotting antelopes, lions, elephants, and buffaloes. After lunch, a 2 to 3-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel brings sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and water birds.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, you drive toward Bwindi, passing through the Ishasha sector for a chance to spot tree-climbing lions. You stop for lunch at Savanna Resort Hotel before arriving at Bwindi in the evening.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After breakfast, you head to the park office for a briefing before setting out with your assigned ranger guide. Bwindi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, holds about 459 mountain gorillas across four trekking areas: Ruhija, Rushaga, Nkuringo, and Buhoma. The trek takes 2 to 6 hours, followed by one hour observing and photographing the gorillas. In the afternoon or evening, you can join a Batwa community visit.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you travel to Lake Mburo National Park, stopping for lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre. On arrival, a short game drive brings sightings of giraffes, waterbucks, and zebras, followed by a boat tour on Lake Mburo in the afternoon.

Day 8: Nature Walk and Drive Back to Kampala or Entebbe

After coffee, you take a guided nature walk close to zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. You then check out and drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, stopping at the Equator crossing for photos along the way.

Day 9: Departure from Entebbe Airport

After breakfast, you transfer to the airport for your flight home, ending your 9-Day Uganda Safari.
