Detailed 3-Day Bwindi Gorilla Habituation Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start your day with an early breakfast and then travel by road to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The trip takes about 9 hours with stops at the Equator for photos and in Mbarara for lunch.

When you arrive in Bwindi, check in to your lodge in Rushaga for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Habituation

After an early breakfast, head out for your gorilla habituation experience in Rushaga. Although the experience lasts 4 hours, it won’t take long to find the gorillas.

You will spend a full 4 hours with them. This is a great chance to see how gorillas get used to humans.

You will enjoy this time and learn a lot about their behavior and way of life.

Because you will be in the forest for many hours, you should carry a packed lunch and eat before or after your visit.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala & Departure

On the last day, travel back to Kampala to catch your flight home or to be dropped off at your chosen accommodation in the city.
