For this 3-day double gorilla trekking package, you must arrive and depart from Kigali in Rwanda.

Bwindi is 9 hours away from Kampala by road and only 4 hours from Kigali by road. This makes it possible to trek and travel on the same day.

Another option is to arrive through Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and depart from Rwanda.

Please note that gorilla trekking is a physical activity and requires a good level of fitness. This package includes two treks, so you need to be healthy and fit.

Detailed 3-Day Double Gorilla Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Depending on whether you arrive from Kigali or Entebbe, our tour guide will meet you. You will then travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, stopping for lunch on the way.

When you arrive, check in to your lodge, have dinner, and rest.

Day 2: First Gorilla Trekking

Wake up early, have breakfast, and go to the park headquarters for your first gorilla trek. There will be a meeting before the trek.

The meeting starts at 7:30 AM and lasts about 30 minutes. After that, you will enter the forest to look for the gorillas.

Once you find them, you will spend one hour watching them before returning to the starting point.

Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking & Departure

On the last day, you will go for your second gorilla trek and then travel back to Kigali. The routine is the same as the day before, but you will track a different gorilla group.

After the trek, you will be transferred to Kigali City to catch your flight home.
