Return for lunch, then go to Paraa for a 3-hour afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River. You may see Nile crocodiles, hippos, and many water birds.

Day 3: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, start your 7 to 8-hour drive to Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda. The trip is long but interesting.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

After breakfast, go to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking. Start the trek at 8:00 a.m. with a guide.

The walk can take 2 to 4 hours and includes one hour to watch and take photos of the chimpanzees.

You may also see other primates, birds, butterflies, and plants. After the trek, return for lunch and then go for a guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Here, you can see birds like the Rwenzori Turaco, mammals like sitatungas, and other wildlife.

Day 5: Crater Lakes Hike & Amabere Caves Visit

Have tea or coffee and leave Kibale for a day exploring the Crater Lakes and Amabere Caves. Drive through Fort Portal. Visit Amabere Caves to learn about their cultural and historical importance.

Then hike around Kyegegwa Hill and enjoy views of crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains.

After lunch and rest, go for a 2 to 3-hour boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. You will see hippos, crocodiles, and many water birds.

Day 8: Game Drive in Ishasha & Transfer to Bwindi
